Packed to the brim with antioxidants, Burdock roots are highly nutritious with a sweet earthy flavor. It clears toxins from the blood, reduces inflammation, and is used to heal a wide range of skin issues. This biennial can be dug as early as late summer but the harvest can continue throughout the winter. Burdock grows in a wide variety of conditions from full sun to part shade. Space plants 6 in. apart.
