This is the rose variety known for it’s large hips that are loaded with vitamin C. Produces an abundance of dark pink flowers that are easily dried for a tasty tea. Rosa rugosa is not fussy and will grow in a wide range of conditions, but will thrive in a mostly sunny location with regular watering. To keep them on the small side, you can prune them back to 1 foot in the winter. Grows to be about 4 feet tall and 4 feet wide. Stout little sweeties! To ensure success, pot up into a quart size pot and plant into the landscape once fully rooted. Perennial in zones 2-9.

Comes in a 1/2 gallon pot. This is a 2 year old rose and approx. 2 1/2 feet tall.
