Also know as Dang-Shen in Traditional Chinese Medicine, Codonopsis is a perennial vine that makes beautiful ballon shaped blossoms. This plant prefers full sun to part shade and something to climb on. Known as Poor Man’s Ginseng because of it’s similar tonic effects as Panex but much easier to grow. Builds Chi and tonifies the blood. Mature vines grow to 6 ft. Harvest the root in the 4th fall for medicine making.
