Beyond the Bottle

♡ Take a few deep breaths before eating and give your body a moment to arrive. Digestion begins in the brain, and noticing the color, smell, and texture of your food can actually help improve digestion.

♡ Eat slowly, chew well, and try not to rush through meals. Your belly does its best work when it isn’t being asked to keep up with a frantic pace.

♡ Favor warm or room-temperature water, especially around meals. In Ayurveda, strong digestion is connected to agni, or digestive fire, and icy drinks can dampen that inner warmth.

♡ Add bitter foods to your plate when you can: arugula, dandelion greens, radicchio, endive, citrus peel, parsley, and other bright, punchy leaves.

♡ Notice which foods leave you feeling clear, satisfied, and nourished, and which leave you bloated, heavy, and uncomfortable. Your digestion is always giving you information.

♡ Take a short walk outdoors after meals when possible. Even a slow stroll can help support gastric movement, ease bloating, and encourage healthy digestion.

Herbs in this Tincture

Dandelion

Dandelion helps signal to the body that food is coming and it’s time to get to work. It supports the release of digestive fluids and helps encourage a more active, responsive digestive process.

Yellow Dock

Yellow Dock supports the liver and encourages the body’s natural detoxification pathways. By supporting bile flow and the release of digestive fluids, Yellow Dock helps the body break down food more efficiently and better absorb nutrients.

Burdock

Burdock supports digestive wellness and a healthy gut microbiome. Traditionally used to support elimination and internal balance, it helps create a healthier foundation for digestion.

Chamomile

Chamomile helps ease digestive discomfort by calming inflammation and relaxing tension in the gut. Helpful for bloating, gas, and indigestion, it brings a settling quality to our bitter formula that helps digestion feel less reactive.

Ginger

Ginger is a warming digestive bitter that helps awaken the appetite, stimulate digestive secretions, and encourage healthy movement through the gastrointestinal tract. By warming the digestive system and promoting circulation, ginger helps the body more efficiently break down food, absorb nourishment, and clear stagnation.

Fennel

Fennel seed is an aromatic digestive bitter that helps stimulate digestion while easing occasional gas, bloating, and abdominal tension. Its volatile oils, including anethole, support healthy gut motility and help the digestive tract relax and move with ease.
